Terms of Service

Template notice: This document is a plain-language draft and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch. It is not legal advice.

1. The service

Billune is a browser-based invoicing tool. It runs on your device and stores your data locally. A one-time Pro license unlocks additional features.

2. No warranty

Billune is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

3. Your data and backups

Your data is stored on your device and is your responsibility. Because we do not hold a copy, we cannot recover data lost when you clear your browser, lose your device, or delete records. Keep regular backups using the app's export feature.

4. Not financial, tax, or legal advice

Billune performs arithmetic and generates documents and income summaries. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and its outputs are not tax filings. You are responsible for the accuracy of the figures you enter and for meeting your own tax and legal obligations. Consult a qualified professional.

5. Payments and licenses

Pro is a one-time purchase processed by our third-party payments provider acting as merchant of record. A license key is issued on purchase. Refunds, where applicable, are handled per the provider's policy and any policy we publish.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to circumvent licensing, or use Billune for unlawful purposes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Billune and its makers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
